Join Us in Our Commitment to Coral Reef Conservation
At Miharo, we're deeply committed to environmental preservation. Our passion to help protect the world's coral reefs is a fundamental part of our ethos. We're proud to partner with Coral Gardeners, an esteemed organization dedicated to the restoration and preservation of these vital ecosystems.
Adopt a Coral: Our Pledge for Every 25 Bikinis Sold
We're excited to launch a new initiative: for every 25 bikinis sold, we will adopt and plant a coral through Coral Gardeners. This initiative directly contributes to the growth and rehabilitation of coral reefs, playing a crucial role in the preservation of marine biodiversity.
Why Coral Adoption Matters
Each coral adoption, at $25, supports Coral Gardeners in their vital work of cultivating, planting, and nurturing corals. This not only aids in reef regeneration but also helps sustain the biodiversity that relies on these ecosystems.
Your Impact
By choosing Miharo bikinis, you're not just embracing style; you're actively participating in our journey towards ocean conservation. Together, we can make a difference in protecting our reefs and oceans.

How do we calculate our prices?
As a company, we believe in full cost transparency. Each piece has its own unique cost, which is composed of the fabrics, the production, the hardware, and the transportation costs.
Fabrics
We order smaller quantities of fabric to avoid overproduction and unnecessary waist. The downside is that we pay much higher prices per meter than larger customers. Still, this does not deter us from purchasing the highest quality, sustainable, and all-natural materials from certified Italian and Portuguese suppliers. Our fabrics are certified by Intertek, OEKO-TEX, GOTS, GRS Certificate, and HIGG Index.
Hardware
We put as much thought into our hardware as we do into our fabric selection. The hardware for our swimsuits, including buttons, zippers, and trims, is all sourced locally within Portugal from other small businesses that our atelier has been working with for the past few decades.
Labor
All of our garments are produced in a small, family-owned atelier. The factory has over 30 years of experience in manufacturing clothes for men and women. We visit our atelier regularly and therefore know that all their workers are treated and paid fairly. These dedicated employees ensure that the delicate fabrics we use, which need to be touched by hand, get the required time and care in each sewing step. Unlike mass production, the Atelier has always focused on small quantities and handmade products.
Transportation
Why is shipping so expensive?
Shipping costs have risen exponentially due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and its heavy impact on global supply chains and the energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine.
The costs to transport the fabrics from the mill to the sewing facilities and then the finished garments from our atelier to our own warehouse are all calculated into the price of the finished product. This calculation does not include shipping costs from the warehouse to you.
Our Fabrics
Resort Wear
Linen is typically grown without the use of pesticides and fertilizers and requires less water than other crops. Its origins are traceable to the wide coastal band of Western Europe stretching from the south of Normandy in northern France through Belgium and the Netherlands. We use certified all-natural and organic linen of the highest quality.
Women's Wear
Our ladies' swimwear is produced from fabrics from Carvico and Joltex. The outer layer uses the classic ribbed Bristol fabric made from polyamide and elastane. Its strong and compact ribbed structure boosts the natural breathability of the fabric, thus making it moisture-wicking and comfortable to wear. The inner lining of our swimsuits is made from 100% recycled polyester. Our fabric features pill resistance, quick drying, UV protection, and is resistant to sun cream and oil.
Men's Wear
The fabric we use for our men's swim trunks is made from 100% recycled polyester and includes 10% elastane. Our supplier for this specific fabric is based in Portugal and holds several certificates, including GOTS (CU1001726), Global Recycled Standard (CU1001726), and BCI (1017332-1).
